Plagiarism Policy
Edelweiss: Journal of Current Inovation in Educational Research is committed to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity and ethical publishing. Plagiarism in any form is unacceptable and will not be tolerated. This policy outlines the definitions, detection methods, and consequences of plagiarism.
Plagiarism includes, but is not limited to:
- Full Plagiarism: Reproducing text, ideas, or data from another source without any changes and without proper citation.
- Partial Plagiarism: Combining text from multiple sources, rephrased or not, without proper attribution.
- Self-Plagiarism: Reusing significant portions of one's own previously published work without proper citation.
All submitted manuscripts will be screened for plagiarism using detection software such as Turnitin. The editorial team will review the reports generated by these tools to identify any potential issues. <20% Plagiarism: The manuscript is considered eligible for further processing
- Definition: A small portion of the manuscript (e.g., a few sentences) is plagiarized without significant data or ideas from other sources.
- Action: Authors will receive a warning and will be required to revise the manuscript to properly cite the original sources.
- Definition: A significant portion of the manuscript (e.g., a paragraph or more) is plagiarized without proper citation.
- Action: The manuscript will be rejected. Authors will be prohibited from submitting to Edelweiss for one year.
- Definition: Large sections of the manuscript are plagiarized, involving the reproduction of original results or ideas from other sources.
- Action: The manuscript will be rejected. Authors will be banned from submitting to Edelweiss for five years. The authors' institutions and funding agencies may be notified.
If plagiarism is detected after publication, the following actions will be taken:
- The paper will be retracted and removed from the journal's website and indexing databases.
- A retraction notice will be published in the journal.
- The authors' institutions and funding agencies will be notified.
Authors must:
- Ensure that their work is original and properly cite or quote any work or words of others.
- Avoid submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal concurrently.
- Properly acknowledge the contributions of others and cite influential publications.
Authors must avoid self-plagiarism by ensuring that any reused material from their previous publications is properly cited. The new manuscript should provide significant new contributions beyond the previously published work.
